Marion Roberts

Marion Roberts is a fiction writer with four novels published for young readers. Marion has a Masters in creative writing and enjoys working with young people to embrace their creativity and enhance their writing skills.

Marion explores family life in all its forms including blended families, messy parents, the changing nature of friendships, identity, belonging, grief and loss. Environmentalism is also a theme that runs deeply through her work. Her YA novel Cry Blue Murder explores internet safety and online grooming.

Environmentalism, online safety, family dynamics, friendship, pets, grief, loss.

What have been the highlights of your career?

Having one’s first book published has been a career highlight and subsequent feedback from young readers has been hugely supportive and encouraging. I am thrilled to have now published three middle grade novels. Collaborating with co-author Kim Kane on my young adult novel Cry Blue Murder was a wonderful process and I look forward to having more books published, across multiple genres.
