Andrew will be presenting at one of our events in Sydney in 2012.
Andrew’s 20 years’ experience in education has fostered his passion in providing relevant learning experiences for students, especially in the social, emotional and spiritual realms. This has led to him being a sought after speaker to teachers and parents on the topic of working with 21st Century adolescents.
What themes are recurring in your work?
Understanding and ‘meeting’ adolescents with an education that will help them develop into resilient, responsible and respectful adult. Using listening and storytelling as a tool.
What have been the highlights of your career?
As a teacher, the lessons that I teach which I realise have ‘hit the mark’ are always a highlight.
As a group facilitator with students, at the completion of a session when a lad comes up and shakes my hand and looks me in the eye and says “Thanks Andrew”.
As a parent educator, hearing from parents that my sessions are meaningful and help them to relate better to their children.
As a teacher trainer, hearing teachers’ feedback as to how transformed they feel their teaching is a result of working with me and my programs.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about transforming the culture in schools and society to help adolescents move more quickly into being truly adults…rather than boys and girls in adult bodies.
